One of the many perks of being a destinations wedding planner is to travel and scout possible places to hold weddings and other related events like pre nuptial photo shoot and intimate gatherings. This is not my first time in Seychelles, in fact I visited the beautiful Island 10 years ago and fell in love with its beauty and people. As I head back to the Island vibe I realized how simple and laid back life in the island is.

We stayed the The HILTON NORTHOLME in one of their luxurious Hill side villa nestled in lush tropical forest with the stunning view of the Indian Ocean located in Glacis, Mahe. The Villa is huge enough to accommodate 3 people, designed beautifully in dark woods with contrast of colorful pillows in blue, orange and yellow green. The very inviting four poster bed facing the calm ocean makes you want to sleep the whole day and do nothing but to cuddle and relax. Each villa is equipped with a Balcony, perfect to unwind or kill time while waiting for the sunrise/sunset with a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine. Breakfast in your own private Balcony is also a good idea to start your day. The His and Hers lavatory is very spacious and well lit. The rain shower has enough supply of hot and cold water along side The incredible white bath which can be used anytime or ask the room service to prepare your bath before heading back to your villa after a long day of soaking under the sun and salted water. The resort is situated on a hilly part of the island so expect a lot of ups and downs and probably a bit of rolling J while exploring the resort. They provide buggy cars for guest who do not wish to walk or villas located on a higher side of the resort. All villas are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, complimentary beverages and wifi.

The Breakfast has wide selections of breads, cereals, preserves and some live cooking alongside with bacons, sausages and freshly brewed coffee, the amazing view from the restaurant is an added bonus. The infinity pool is not big enough to accommodate all guest in case it gets really full and busy, but who cares!? The pristine crystal clear water at the main beach awaits you to put on your swim suit and sunblock and you are good to go for a unique swimming experience with colorful fishes right next to you. Walk barefoot and feel how fine and powdery the sand is but be careful crossing on the other side of the beach bordering huge blocks of Granite stones as some of them are quite rough and slippery. Waiting for the sunset can never be as spectacular from the view of the Lower Terrace next to the main dining area. What can be the best way to end your holiday but a relaxing spa at the Eforia. The treatment rooms are facing the ocean for an added feel of relaxation.

Overall we had an amazing time at this resort. The staff are always there to help; however, the service is just too slow and poor.  If you want to order or dine-in in one of their restaurants, I suggest that you order first by calling them before heading to the restaurant to avoid long waiting and disappointments. Let’s say a minimum of 30 mins waiting if you order something to nibble like finger foods.

The Resort accommodate couples and honeymooners, not a very family oriented resort due to its location, you hardly see kids below 12 yrs.
