We were invited to spend our weekend breakfast at Plantation restaurant at The Sofitel The Walk JBR. It is a 5 mins Taxi ride from Dubai Marina Mall.

When we entreated the restaurant, I must admit the ambience makes me feel that I was transported in one of the restaurants somewhere in Spain. The look and vibe of the whole place are very Mediterranean, not to mention the tropical heat and breeze.

We love the idea of the wooden ceiling fan along with an open area dining which allows a lot of natural light to pass through those glass roof & window.

The restaurant has an“Art and Dine” concept which makes it unique especially for those who love to hang-out and admire not just the view but the art itself displayed all over the resto. They also change the art installation from time to time, curating different arts from international to local artisans.

We have been offered to choose from one of their set breakfast menus, either “The Fry Up Breakfast”, “Wellness Breakfast”, “Oriental Breakfast”or “Petit Dejeuner” which are served from 6:30AM onwards. Aside from these breakfast set options, the restaurant offers Ala Carte, mainly French cuisines.

Our starter was served immediately with a selection of fresh sliced fruits, nuts, a freshly baked basket of breads, pressed coffee, juices and some seafood antipasti. It was light and easy to digest.

Wellness Options and All Fry Up Breakfast Appetizer

Our second plate (hot) was served right after our starter. We loved the eggs benedict & the Spinach top with some cheese. The Pork sausage was delish except the bacon which we find a bit over fried and not succulent. Note that the serving of the appetiser and main course can do simultaneously or at the same time, better yet at your own convenience :). Check out the pictures below and do your own verdict.

Overall, We had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Misgana who is our server keeps us good company during our breakfast while checking us if we need anything additional from time to time.

I highly recommend this place for guest who likes to eat their breakfast beyond the standard breakfast hours, you know why? Well, luckily this restaurant is an all-day-breakfast. Yes, you heard me right! All day breakfast! Especially after a long dip and loves a little bit of sun therapy at Jumeirah Beach which is just across the road. You can easily dig-in with your choice of breakfast…beside breakfast is the most important meal of the day, So do not skip it.
