We recently visited the Casa Pinoy Restaurant in Karama, I must say that this place is heaven for those who craved for authentic Pinoy street food. We ordered the street food platter which consists of Isaw (chicken intestine), Helmet (chicken’s head), chicken wings, Kwek Kwek, Adidas (chicken legs with claws) and crispy chicken intestine on the side. It may sound alien to everyone but these food are the main street course all over the Philippines. It feels like home the way it smelled and presented to us. It reminds us of high school & college days breaktime somewhere in University belt with sago’t gulaman as your panulak (drinks).

We also ordered the boodle platter for two. We can’t believe our eyes when it landed on our table. the portion is definitely not for two… It comes with Fried Rice and Plain rice on both sides of the plate, Full portion of Pancit Canton which tasted just how your mom cooked it back home. The BBQ chicken wings and fried eggplant with bagoong on the side are divine. The crab & shrimp was cooked to perfection that you could easily tell they only use fresh kinds of seafood. Another highlight is the Bopis. For the longest time, never I tasted a Bopis as good as this one. I think preparation matters a lot. We all know how difficult it is to cook a good Bopis (the one without an aftertaste or foul smell) In our opinion this is the only Bopis in Dubai that was served the right way. It was cut properly (not the grounded one if you know what we mean) and it tasted just the  Bopis we always imagined.

Saving the best for last – The UBE HALAYA is two a thumbs up. This is the part we won’t be sharing you how good it tasted the moment it landed on our tongue. We are salivating now & Thinking of ordering one…

Crispy Isaw (Crispy Fried Chicken Intestine)

Grilled Isaw (Grilled Chicken Intestine with BBQ Sauce)

Adidas (Grilled Marinated Chicken Feet with BBQ Sauce)

Street Food Plater (consist of Grilled Isaw, Adidas, Helmet – grilled Chicken Head, Grilled Chicken, and Kwek Kewek)

Bopis

Boodle Platter for 2

To sum it up, We only have good words to say… the staff are very accommodating, attentive and friendly. The place is clean inside out, nothing fancy but most of all the price range won’t break your bank.
